Made by God saved by Christ,

salvation the key to have new life.

Torn from one life then into another,

run away from sin into the father.

 

Clean me oh Lord and sing of your joy,

God's love are songs of peace to enjoy.

Come to Christ that salvation is free,

his gift of new life  is calling thee.

 

Jesus  set us free from death to life,

that all would be made good in his sight.

 He paid the price we should had owed,

died on a cross that we would know.

 

Risen to show we also will rise,

 the world he came to open each eye.

Wake up from your sleep see his face,

that every soul from hell be saved.

 

His road is narrow and just one way,

Jesus died that each would be saved.

Reach out and ask him into your life,

for our God is a beautiful sight.

GIVING AND LIVING

a day of wonder to renew life in us

give love for each other win their trust

share a word of concern of life's pains

to be with Jesus where he reigns

tiny is life  we must yet grow

his change in us we must know

go out in life with his power he gave

to share it with all who want to be saved

gifts given and more to come

given to all who gives more than one

be that giver who gives each day

for this is the Lord's want and way

never a day he knows of our fears

knows every hurt counts every tear

numbered the hair on our head

salvation came the day he bled

died for us lets give to him

giving to all that they come in

reach out to many we have that chance

that in heaven we all will dance

its only then we finish the race

pain hurting brings us to his door

knowing in life theirs always more

life in him goes on and on

never ending in his arms

no man may come unless

free of sin and repentance

find no sorrow in a life so short

live forever in Gods choosen port

let this be our wake up call

His hand can shake the seas,

his Glory we will always be.

Find his truth through all he does,

he is the same as he has always was.

 

God forgives of all man's sin,

creator redeemer invites all in.

Repent and live in Christ the King,

Recieve the blessings of Christ the son,

 creator, loving messiah ,redeeming one.

May this day infold you forever,

that you and Christ walk together.

Your choice be in him each day,

guide us to go your way.

Nurture when God puts a seed,

 deep inside  there's always a need.

Let your choice be to follow him,

my strength redeemer and friend.

Hung on a cross to set all men free,

open each eye that all may see.

Lord God I can see your joy,
our walks I truly enjoy.
You fill me up to pour it out,
 your blessings ring with a shout.

You knew me before I was so,
every day you watched me grow.
You've changed me day by day,
fill my heart that I follow your way.

Words will not explain your love,
 sacrifices made have made us one.

Men will ask where is God and his work,

temptation will lead you away for sure.

The sin of man are lies to the soul,

turning you away losing any control.

 

Repent and find Jesus Christ believe,

salvation in him if you only receive.

    Faith with him leads to love for all,

leading his sheep is our chosen call.

 

If you've wondered far from the road,

Jesus Christ will remove your load.

Will take your sin away from you,

changing your heart loving you to.

 

How can I deserve this gift of love,

so low am I not worthy from above.

Removed transgression forever now,

that I may be in paradise with thou.

Father you work in the heart of man,

change in time like counting sand.

Less of us,and more of Jesus Christ

the prince of peace, lord of light,

  

Grace is a gift God out pours,

he comes to us on life's shore.

Lower your nets he will show,

he gives far more to the load.

 

Salvation the key to enter new life,

my guide, my friend, master of light.

Always near me you make me smile,

the father giving to a loving child.

 

You always search when I am lost,

bring me home no matter the cost.

Ask of anything for you in Christ,

we are made worthy in his sight.

Marty's poem # 8

ENDLESS LOVE

 Love is deep and gives it all,

has no boundary's fence or wall.

Lives for others no matter the task,

cares for neighbors and not asked.

Love is giving and sharing our self,

 giving, forgiving being of help.

Give of yourself of any in need,

Christ is love,God plants the seed.

You must journey a narrow road,

the love of Christ lighten the load.

With Christ his yoke is easy to bare,

his love for us he truly does share.

Marty sent me a poem he had written on July 10, 2010.  He continued to Email me poems on a regular bases for a few months, the last one he sent me was on Nov. 14, 2010.  These are some of the ones spoke of by Rev. Jim at Marty's memorial service.  I will get around to posting all of them here.  Other news about the Hoke family will also be posted here from time to time.  I have numbered the poems, but other than that these poems were copy and pasted here, I have made no changes at all.

Made for God that we worship and serve,

his love and forgiveness each to learn.

Dreams of dreams beyond  our mind,

his grace  to save till the end of time.

Show me where anyone could love us more,

a forgiving heart beyond any shores.

On your knees all pray to seek,

 this be a dream for you to reach

Made of soil a mineral  of rock,

given life that each may not stop.

Given in grace protected by love,

hope is the glue that we dream of.

Water runs deep then fills up the land,

Jesus living in us, his water is grand.

His yoke is made easy for all to receive,

redemption made for us to believe.

His blood paid the price that all are saved,

all is alive released from the graves.

Show each one you pass on by,

that all are one no need to die..

Jesus gave

May a day be granted to you this time, salvation in Christ,forgiveness is mine, Each breath of life, I take each day, reminds me more of the price you paid.   God my father who knows me well,  gave me life to this dust filled shell.  Caring far deeper, then any will know, blessings of grace,forgiveness you show. 2

in sinful waters I nearly drowned.

You carried me above my fear,

held my hand, wiped away my tears.

 

If my doubts should turn to fear,

I call on to you that you may hear.

Crack open this soul and let you in,

ask you to forgive me of my sin.

 

Forever now my soul you saved,

this is why Jesus Christ came.

That all may know, redemption's door,

Christ will save you from the storm.

LIVE IN THE LIGHT

Death has no hold on me,

Christ my king has set me free.

Just like him we are raised to life,

 

Humbled from battle we follow his path,

worship the father with all that I have.

He listens when we call out to him,

he is my shelter from storm and wind.

 

 His foundation on him we build,

in us the holy spirit he has filled.

Eyes on Christ and do your best,

he carries the load matter the test.

 

Made that we may share his news,

from mouth to mouth we may choose.

For fields of flowers may have a weed,

 then speak the truth to plant a seed.
